How do I join membership?
Membership is simple and quick to join! Simply head to our packages page, scroll down to the bottom and click the BECOME A MEMBER! All you need to do afterwards is fill in our google form and we sort out the rest for you!
How long is my membership valid for?
Your membership is valid for the whole of 2020! We recommend signing up to membership early to maximise your membership perks! If you have any queries, feel free to get in contact with us!
How do I access my membership online?
After signing up to your membership, you should receive a membership number from us. This is super important and crucial that you write this number either on your card or have it stored in a safe place. To access your membership online, simply fill in the sign up form which can be found by clicking on Register on our header or LOG IN! Once you're done, you'll be able to access the member's area, which is your stop to access all your membership perks on our website!
How do I access exclusive membership prices?
As a member, you are entitled to discounted prices on all applicable merchandise. To access these prices, make sure to register your membership first on our website, then head to the MEMBER'S AREA and click the SHOP button. This brings you to an exclusive page with discounted merchandise prices. Happy Shopping!
Are my payments and personal details secure?
Do you ship orders?
Due to our busy uni schedules, we are only offering shipping for orders at request. If you would like your order to be shipped, please order as per normal and contact us via Facebook, Instagram or Email regarding your interest. We will get back to you on a price for shipping which usually ranges between $10-20 depending on the size of your order & shipping location. As some of our merchandise is pre-ordered, there is a waiting period for orders to be shipped to you. Once we have shipped your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation from us. Please expect a turnaround of around 7-10 working days for your order to arrive!
Am I able to exchange or refund my order?
Unfortunately we do not accept any refunds but if there are any faults or defects present with your product, please don't hesitate to contact us!
How do I collect my order after purchase?
There will be waiting period for all merchandise orders as we do not have stock in hand. Please expect around a 3-4 week turnaround time after purchase of your merch due to current delays in freight. Once your merch has arrived, our team will need time to sort through all orders which we then hope to be able to organise a period for you to come and collect your merchandise. Location will be at the QUT Health Clinic with exact date and time TBD. Please stay tuned on our social media for updates regarding collection!
What brand of clothing do we use and can we request different colours?
Our supplier changes every year as per the requirements of the executive team. This year, we are using AS Colour which are one of the best quality garments around. This year, we are lucky enough to able to offer two different models.
I prefer an oversized fit, what would your recommendation be?
Our stencil hoodie is a unisex fit so it is also suitable for females if you prefer an oversized fit. Be aware that these hoodies are longer in length, with longer sleeves compared to the Women's hoodies. To find your fit, please refer to our sizing charts attached to all our hoodies on offer.
Do you re-order any out of stock merchandise?
As most of our merchandise is pre-ordered, re-ordering is dependent on interest and quantity required. If there is any out of stock merchandise that you would like to order, please fill in the form below and we'll in touch if there is enough interest in another order.
Can I try on before purchasing?
Unfortunately due to the current circumstances, we may be unable to organise for you to try on the hoodies. However, we hope to provide as many visuals and sizing information as possible so that you can be confident with your purchase. If there is interest around try ons, we may be able to organise a try on session so stay tuned on your Facebook year level pages!
What is the difference between the mens and womens hoodies?
The difference between the mens and womens hoodies in a particular style is just the fit. Previously, hoodies have been too long or baggy for the ladies and and therefore we decided to make the womens available this year as it is shorter on average in terms of body length - for specifics, please refer to the attached size charts.
What is the difference between Fleece and French Terry cotton?
What if I need to modify my order?
All merchandise orders can be modified before the conclusion of our pre-order period. Please follow the process below to amend your existing order.
How do I access early bird tickets?
Early bird access will require purchase of our membership. During the early bird access period, tickets will only be available for purchase to our members with no limit on how many we sell! This to ensure our members are guaranteed a spot at our event during the early bird round!
Can I purchase a ticket for my partner during the early access round?
Absolutely! We understand you may want to bring along your partner who may or may not be a QOSS Member, hence you will have the option during your exclusive early access round to secure a ticket for them. These tickets should be exclusive to people close to you and should not be purchased for friends who are not members as we reserve spots exclusively for our members during this round.
How does the OGS tickets work?
Simply purchase the amount of tickets you are after and redeem them on the night! You will have the option to also purchase them on the night but we'd rather you mingle and make the most of our drinks package than scrambling to find someone or even worse not having money on you!
How do I get invovled with QOSS?
Our exective team is comprised of 4th and 5th year optometry students, with the bulk responsibility on our 5th year optometry students, while our 4th year students get first hand experience on how QOSS operates. All our executive team members are chosen via a voting process which occurs in Semester 2! If your're interested, make sure to keep a close eye on your year level facebook pages for when the time comes!
How do I stay up to date with QOSS?
If you are an optometry student, we highly recommend you befriend our trusty old mascot Strabis Moose on Facebook! Also make sure to like and follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to stay up to date as we post regularly on those platforms!
I am still in High School but interested in studying Optometry. Where can I find information about the course?
You can find information about the course at https://www.qut.edu.au/courses/bachelor-of-vision-science. The annual QUT Open Day is also a good place to find all you want to know about the QUT Optometry course! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us!
